Denis is a highly respected Health, Safety and Environment professional with more than 20 years of experience across civil construction, mining, infrastructure, utilities and manufacturing sectors.
Known for his practical, no-nonsense approach to safety, Denis has built a reputation for turning compliance requirements into meaningful operational outcomes and creating safety cultures that people genuinely engage with, rather than simply comply with.
Holding senior HSE leadership and Lead Auditor positions across high-risk operational environments, Denis combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, enabling him to effectively influence everyone from frontline crews and supervisors through to project managers and executive leadership teams. His ability to build trust, challenge unsafe norms and drive accountability has consistently delivered measurable improvements in safety performance, workforce engagement and operational efficiency.
Denis has successfully led HSE functions across major mining and civil construction projects, supporting workforces of over 100 personnel while maintaining exceptional performance outcomes, including sustaining more than four years LTI-free within a demanding FIFO environment. Karl Barth is a highly experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional with more than 15 years of industry experience spanning utilities, power infrastructure, mining, drilling, civil construction and resource‑sector operations.
Karl is recognised for his strong commitment to operational excellence, proactive risk management and building engaged, safety‑focused workforces across complex and high‑risk environments.
In his career he has a proven track record of providing comprehensive HSEQ leadership across multiple projects, ensuring all activities meet statutory obligations, client expectations and internal management system requirements. His ability to bridge the gap between management objectives and frontline execution enables him to drive practical, effective safety outcomes while supporting productivity and project performance.
Karl’s leadership approach centres on visible engagement, early hazard identification and fostering ownership of safety responsibilities at all levels. He works collaboratively with supervisors, contractors and project teams to embed a proactive safety culture, strengthen risk controls and support Zero Harm objectives.
Karl is also highly regarded for his exceptional training capability. Holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, he has delivered accredited and non‑accredited training across diverse operational environments. His attention to detail in planning, organising and executing RTO‑aligned training ensures sessions are structured, compliant, engaging and tailored to workforce competency levels. Karl’s practical background allows him to translate technical and safety requirements into clear, relatable learning experiences, significantly improving workforce understanding, retention and behavioural safety outcomes.
